Fine arts exhibition on nature and life held in Hanoi’s Son Tay district

A fine arts exhibition, themed “Green Happy”, will take place in the Son Tay citadel in Hanoi from April 22 to May 3, as part of the activities to mark the 200th anniversary of the citadel and the launch of the fourth pedestrian zone in the city.

The exhibition will attract visitors to the old citadel during the upcoming National Reunification (April 30) and May Day (May 1) holidays.

On display will be 80 fine art works by 40 painters from various provinces and cities around the country.

The exhibits were created in different styles and materials including oil paintings, lacquers, 'Do' paper, woodcarvings and statues. They reflect the painters’ artistic perspectives and convey meaningful messages about nature and life.

Being held in Son Tay old fortress citadel and starting right on Earth Day (April 22), the exhibition will not only feature local heritage but also raise public awareness of natural and environmental protection.
