The tenth edition of the exhibition “Simple and Nobel Examples”, which is taking place at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi, still evokes national pride and emotion in viewers.

In addition to examples of good people with good deeds, the exhibition features moving stories about good values for the community and the country.

With more than 200 documents, articles and artefacts, the exhibition will bring viewers to a closely linked exhibition space in two parts. The first section, themed “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle is a regular work of the whole Party and people”, is an affirmation of the will and determination of the whole country associated with the movement of “living, fighting, working and studying Uncle Ho”. Meanwhile, the second part themed “The simple and noble examples” are concrete examples associated with real and vivid stories of 43 collectives and 89 individuals in many fields including economy, culture, society, Party and government building, defence and security. They are 132 typical examples selected from hundreds of outstanding individuals in the campaign of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style in the year 2021-2022.

At the exhibition, viewers were inspired by youth examples of Nguyen Van Cuong (from Khanh Hoa) who have actively participated in volunteer activities in support of poor patients despite the paralysis of his legs. The visitors will be proud of the journey of preserving and restoring the traditional culture of the Tho ethnic minority people in the western part of Nghe An province by artisan Truong Thanh Hai as well as impressed with the over 20-year-journey of presenting warm clothes and books to students in remote areas by veteran Nguyen Tien Dan (from Da Nang). Viewers will also have a chance to share the joy with Giang A De (from Yen Bai) when he tried to find a new way for Mu Cang Chai district’s tourism through the homestay.

The 2021-2022 period witnessed the fierce fights against the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, visitors to the exhibition feel the warmth and sharing of the compatriotism through many practical activities such as free meals provided to the lonely elderly and people with disabilities, by women in Lap Thuan village in Dai Hong commune (Quang Nam province) during the first and the 15th days of the lunar months. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Dung from Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, joined hundreds of volunteers to go south to fight against the pandemic after a short time back from the epidemic centre of Bac Giang, which was also a typical example. With practical actions that come from the heart, they have helped spread the positive energies of love, compassion and courage, so that people can become closer together for a more beautiful and meaningful life.

President Ho Chi Minh always gave special affection and attention to the younger generations, the future owners of the country. He emphasised that the care, education, training and development of young people is both a goal and a driving force for the stable and sustainable development of the country.

Therefore, in addition to “The simple and noble examples” exhibition, the Ho Chi Minh Museum dedicates a part of its space to another exhibition themed “Youth-Spring of the country”. Nearly 300 photos, documents and artefacts were divided into three sections: “Ho Chi Minh – the vibrant youth”, “Nurturing the next generation for revolution” and “Green ages follow Uncle Ho’s steps”. The exhibition features an overview of President Ho Chi Minh's thought on fostering the younger generations while introducing typical examples and outstanding contributions of Vietnamese youth to the cause of national construction and safeguarding.

President Ho Chi Minh once affirmed that a vital example is worth more than a propaganda speech. Therefore, the organisation of the two exhibitions is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 132nd birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to vividly reflecting the results of the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021, by the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016, on promoting the campaign of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style. The event is also expected to inspire and awaken the potential and creativity of compatriots and soldiers nationwide.

The exhibitions will run until the end of September.
