Exhibition highlights French cultural influence on Vietnam

Nhan Dan Online – An exhibition featuring objects produced in France and used in Vietnam from the 19th century opened in the southern province of Dong Nai on November 22.

The seven-day exhibition introduces 125 historical artifacts such as oil lamps, radiators and the motorcycles.

A wide range of pottery products is also on display at the exhibition. Intriguingly, the pottery products, which were made in France, bear images of Vietnamese villages and people.

The exhibition honours the history of French culture into Vietnam, which contributed to enriching the spiritual life of Vietnamese people. It also aims to promote the preservation of French cultural heritage to strengthen the solidarity between the two nations.

The exhibition is held at the Bien Hoa Citadel, which was famous for its French architecture and is considered a national monument.
