Book chronicling life of President Ho debuts in India

Nhan Dan – A Hindi language biography of President Ho Chi Minh written by Geetesh Sharma, President of the Indian-Vietnam Solidarity Committee in West Bengal state, has been released in India.

The 115-page book chronicles the life and revolutionary career of the great Vietnamese leader, praising his modest lifestyle and great ideology. Also included are 22 pages of documentary photos of meetings with Indian leaders and people and his official visit to the country in 1958, capturing the warm sentiment between President Ho and the Indian people.

Readers are also provided with Uncle Ho’s poems, translated into the Hindi language, and rare photos featuring President Ho’s 1946 visit to Kolkata, the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal.

In the biography's foreword, President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations Karan Singh expresses his belief that President Ho Chi Minh and his ideology can inspire and enlighten those who have been working in the interest of working people and progressive forces around the world. The book’s publication aims to deepen Indians' understanding of President Ho Chi Minh.
