The event aims to strengthen the friendly relationship and enhance cultural co-operation between Vietnam and RoK in general, and Hoi An city and Gwangju city in particular.
A series of activities, including the signing co-operative agreements on culture, arts and craft products; workshops, and conference on developing craft products, are taking place during the programme.
The highlight of the programme is an exhibition displaying craft products such as lanterns, Thanh Ha potteries, Kim Bong furnitures, sycamore hammocks, Quang Nam silk and products made from bamboo or coconut leaves and craft presentation. The craft products from Gwangju city, RoK, such as weaving, papermaking, and bamboo art, are being introduced at the exhibition.
A photo exhibition, offering insights into World Cultural Heritage site – Hoi An ancient town – will also be organised during the programme.
Additionally, traditional art performances will be held every evening during the event in Hoi An city.
This program promises to contribute to the introduction and promotion of culture and traditional handicraft products in Hoi An and Gwangju cities to domestic and foreign tourists.
