The event was held by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association (VFAA) as part of activities to welcome the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival as well as to celebrate 87th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930-2017) and the 60th anniversary of the VFAA (April 8, 1957-2017).

On display are 203 paintings in different genres such as portraits, still-lifes and landscapes, by over 200 artists who are members of the VFAA.

In addition to paintings featuring the history of the Party and State and posters communicating the Party’s lines and policies, the artists created numerous paintings on the roosters to celebrate the Year of the Rooster.

The exhibits were created using different materials such as oil, acrylic, lacquer, silk, do paper, engravings and lotions.

Visitors to the exhibition have a chance to enjoy the beauty as well as the cheerful atmosphere of the spring, being motivated to enter a new, better year.

The exhibition will last until January 26.
