Programme to bring Vietnam and Italy closer

Following the success of Italian week in ASEAN 2017, the Italian Embassy in Hanoi will organise a programme from November 2 to 11, which promises to bring Italy and Vietnam closer.

As part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties, the event will take place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hanoi, from November 10 to 11.

An Italian-styled space of will offer an opportunity to experience cuisine, wine and art performances to visitors. The event will feature the participation of well-known Italian chefs, famous singer Hong Nhung and some famous opera singers of the two countries.

At this year’s event, especially, Vietnamese teenagers will have the chance to train with coaches from Juventus Academy in playing football, volleyball, badminton and soccer.

A Scientific cooperation workshop on satellite technology projects will also be held on November 7, following the success of the 2017 workshop on bilateral cooperation in science and technology. The seminar will feature the participation of representatives of the Torino Technology School and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Earlier on November 2, a wine-tasting programme named “Sentiero di Vino – Valpolicella” was launched at Casa Italia, No. 18 Le Phung Hieu. On November 6, the Diplomatic Academy will have a talk, marking the 45th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties.
