The event is hosted by the British Embassy in Vietnam in cooperation with the Hanoi People's Committee, as part of series of activities to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Vietnam – United Kingdom (UK) diplomatic ties (1973-2018) and the 25th anniversary of British Council in Vietnam (1993-2018).

The festival will bring together 56 booths by businesses from the UK, which are operating in various fields of culture, education, science and technology, fashion and trade.

There will be a fashion show featuring charming clothes and costumes by UK fashion brands and Vietnamese Ao Dai fashion designers.

In addition, an exhibition with many interesting photos reflecting the beautiful wildlife world from the lens of national and international photographers will be set up at the foot of the Cam Tu Monument

A final round of a music contest on singing UK songs with outstanding performances from contestants, a beautifully arranged photo zone with the tube, outdoor film screenings, and many other interesting activities, namely Face art, flashmob, maypole dancing, and a tech demo, will be scheduled during the festival.

Visitors will also be invited to taste British food and drink, from the traditional fish n chips to the adopted curry and an innovative fusion of British-Vietnamese flavours.

According to Ambassador of the UK to Vietnam, Gareth Ward, the festival will be an opportunity for Vietnamese people to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the UK in the heart of Hanoi.

The 87 units in many areas participating in the festival will showcase the creativity and dynamism of the UK, bringing inspiration from the country, he added.
