Vice Chairman of Hue city People’s Committee Nguyen Dang Thanh said that the festival aimed to honour the quintessence of heritages and further improve the efficiency of production and business activities.

The event also contributed to promoting economic growth as well as attaching traditional products to tourism development, he added.

The festival brought together over 350 artisans and 60 craft villages from various provinces and cities, including Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Hanoi, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Lam Dong, Da Lat and Thua Thien – Hue.

Notably, the festival also featured the participation of 70 artisans, from seven foreign cities that have twin-city and cooperative relationships with Hue, as well as three professional associations and enterprises from Japan, the Republic of Korea, China and Turkey.

During the six-day event, visitors had a chance to learn about the crafting stages of traditional products and join various cultural and arts programmes such as exhibitions, an Ao Dai show and arts performances.
