Hanoi hosts international cultural and tourism festival

The 2019 International Cultural and Tourism Festival officially opened in the capital city of Hanoi on July 6, featuring the participation of numerous domestic and foreign airlines and travel agencies.

The festival is held by TransViet company, a top ten leading travel agencies in Vietnam, in collaboration with Vietnam Tourism Association, Vietnam Society of Travel Agents, Vietnam Airlines and the offices of Tourism Administrations from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Malaysia Singapore and Thailand.

At the two-day festival, various cultural and tourism activities are being held, including promotional programmes with up to 50% discounted domestic and abroad tours.

The event features a variety of exchange activities and a unique art program in a space highlighting the characteristics of the participating countries.

Visitors to the festival have the chance to learn more about traditional costumes and outfits of Vietnam and other countries and admire traditional calligraphy works as well as learn about the Japanese art of origami as well as enjoy performances of taekwondo martial arts, K-pop dances, traditional music and electronic music.

This is the first time the International Cultural and Tourism Festival is held in Hanoi since its launch in 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City.
