Finland wins 2019 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

The team JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks AB from Finland has been crowned champion of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) for their amazing display at the final night on July 6.

The closing ceremony for the festival was attended by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, among others.

The Finnish team delighted thousands of spectators with their wonderful performance which was inspired by offshore fishing trips of Vietnamese fishermen.

The second prize went to the team Pyrotex Fireworx Ltd from the UK.

The champions received the trophy and a prize of US$10,000, while the runners-up were awarded US$5,000.

The 2019 DIFF themed ‘Stories by the Rivers’ took place from June 1 to July 6 with the participation of eight teams from eight nations: Italy, Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, the UK, China and host Vietnam.

The festival involved five nights of competition with five different themes, including “Origins”, “Buds of life”, “Love”, “Burst of Colours” and “Setting Sail”.
