Art programme highlights Vietnam’s heroic struggle for independence

Vietnamese people’s glorious struggle for national independence and reunification was reproduced within an art programme held at the Hanoi Opera House on August 8.

The event, co-organised by Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Contemporary Art Theatre, as part of activities to mark the 74th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

It was attended by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, among others.

The event features the participation of many famous singers such as People’s Artist Trung Duc, Meritorious Artist Quoc Hung, Hong Nhung, Khanh Linh, Hue Thuong, and Bui Le Man.

The programme was divided into three parts: the resistance war against the French colonists, the resistance war against the US imperialists, and the national defense wars from 1975 to 1979.

With familiar songs and dances, the art programme recalled the glorious years of the country, contributing to inspiring patriotism among audiences, particularly younger generations.
