Photo and documentary film exhibition on ASEAN community opens

An exhibition on photos and reportage – documentary films on the ASEAN community officially opened in Bien Hoa City, in the southern province of Dong Nai, on September 24.

On display are 300 photos and nearly 60 reportage – documentary films in three different themes: countries and people, environmental protection and climate change adaptation,and ethnic groups of the ASEAN community.

All exhibits have won prizes or entered the final round of international festivals launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications. They present the authors’ perspectives on the land and people of ASEAN countries.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee agreed that the exhibition is a significant cultural event aiming to concretise the Government's action plan on communicating and promoting ASEAN.

The event also contributes to mobilising people in the region to join hands in building a strong ASEAN Community, for solidarity, friendship, cooperation and development.

The exhibition will run until September 27.
