Art exchange programme spotlights Vietnam – Laos special friendship

An art exchange programme was held in the Lao capital city of Vientiane on October 9, honouring the solidarity and faithful friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

The programme, themed ‘Hanoi – a red heart’, was part of the activities marking the 65th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2019).

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos and Vice President of Laos –Vietnam Friendship Association Buangern Xaphuvong along with representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos.

The programme featured numerous attractive performances by both professional and amateur artists from the Lao National Art Troupe, the Lao National Circus Troupe, Lao nationals who previously studied in Vietnam.

It was a meaningful event, contributing to promoting the tradition and history of Vietnam as well as strengthening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

On the occasion, the organising board called for donations to Lao and Vietnamese people in six central and southern provinces affected by floods.
