Special art programme celebrates country’s major holidays

A special art programeme, entitled “Resounding the country’s melody”, was held at the Hanoi Opera House on January 4, praising the Party and country.

The event was attended by Politburo members: Permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee (PCC) Tran Quoc Vuong; and Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue.

The programme aimed to celebrate the country’s major holidays this year, including the Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival, the 90th founding anniversary of Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3), the 45th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30); the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19); and the 75th anniversary of National Liberation Day (September 2).

The annual event is expected to inspire patriotism and national pride among people from all across the country, especially within the younger generation.

The programme was divided into two parts, including the first themed “Party is my life” with songs praising the Party and President Ho Chi Minh as well as expressing the love for country. The second part featured bustling melodies that highlighted the beauty of the spring.

The event drew the participation of many well-knowned artists such as People’s Artists Quang Tho and Thai Bao; Meritorious Artists Dang Duong, Viet Hoan, Van Khanh and Phuong Thao.
