Themed “Miracles of books”, the event featured over 60,000 book titles from prestigious publishing houses.

A wide variety of attractive activities will be held during the festival, including an exhibition on documents and photos to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3), an exhibition themed “Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City in the revolution for national liberation (1930-1975)”, and an exhibition on calligraphic books of President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings.

The model of DK1 rig house

In addition, a model of DK1 rig house is being showcased at the festival, contributing to inspiring the spirit of protecting the country’s sovereignty over its seas and islands.

Notably, 16 newspaper covers, which were selected from the competition “Spring Newspapers Covers”, are also being introduced to the visitors.

The organising board also designed a model themed “The sky of knowledge”, with books of various sizes connected with led lights to create a sparkling sky.

Visitors to the festival will have the chance to join activities imbued with the traditional values of Tet Festival, such as folk games, asking for calligraphy letters and making to he (toy figurines).

The Book Street Festival will run until January 28 (the fourth day of the first lunar month).
