Film week celebrates 76th anniversary of Vietnamese People’s Army

A film week will be held from December 19 to 25 to celebrate the 76th founding anniversary of Vietnamese People’s Army (December 22, 1944-2020) and welcome the 13th National Party Congress.

Films on screen during the week will include two war-themed movies ‘Truyen Thuyet Ve Quan Tien’ (Legend of Quan Tien) and ‘Linh Chien’ (Soldiers) and cartoon ‘Soi Guong’ (Looking in the mirror).

Three scientific films will also be introduced to Vietnamese audiences on the occasion, namely ‘Chung Toi La Linh Sinh Vien' (We are students-soldiers), ‘Lu Mien Nui’ (Floods in mountainous region), and ‘Truong Son Noi Ay Khac Ghi’ (Truong Son where memories are remembered).

The event is being organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Cinematography Department in coordination with film studios; centres for film distribution, cinematography, culture and arts in centrally-run cities and provinces.

It will be held in localities where the COVID-19 pandemic is under control and in line with all disease prevention and control regulations as issued by the Ministry of Health.
