Spreading film value to the public

The Vietnam Cinema Department, Vietnam Film Institute have arranged free film screenings in conjunction with many exhibitions and exchanges programmes to contribute to promoting cinematic values.

The event is a part of the activities to celebrate the 91st founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3, 1930 - 2021), the 13th National Party Congress and the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) 2021.

From January 26 to 28, the Vietnam Film Institute organised a film programme titled "91st founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2021) and celebrated the 13th National Party Congress at Cinema Ngoc Khanh, at No. 523 Kim Ma, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.

In addition to the projection of valuable works from Vietnamese revolutionary cinema, the programme displayed documentaries and documents on the subject of the National Party Congress.

On January 28, movie-lovers also had an opportunity to exchange with famous artists from the country's cinema industry such as People's Artist Nhu Quynh, and Meritorious Artist Vu Dinh Than.

From February 3 to 18, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Vietnam Cinema Department to coordinate with film production units, cultural departments, cultural centres, film and film distribution and cinema centres in provinces and cities directly under the Central Government to organise the free film screening.

Those pieces shown were all quality cinematographic works with historical, cultural and human value. The film screenings are being organised in localities where the epidemic has been controlled and must comply withall regulations on disease prevention and control issued by the Ministry of Health. In a case of not being able to proceed, film units will use these films in the next film week or at other screening programmes.
