Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh presents Tet gifts to needy people in Long An province

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and donors presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, people living in difficult circumstances and key forces in Can Giuoc district in the Mekong Delta province of Long An on February 5.

Accordingly, 500 gifts worth a total of around VND500 million were presented to Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, People’s Armed Forces Heroes, revolutionary contributors, the poor and key forces ensuring security and order during the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival.

Deputy PM Binh extended greetings of health and prosperity to needy people as well as officials and people in Can Giuoc district.

He also asked the local authorities to boost teconomic development while paying much attention to social welfare and caring for policy beneficiary families and individuals.

* Also on the same day, Dak Lak provincial Labour Federation, in collaboration with the Golden Heart Charity Fund from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, donated funds to support trade union members and labourers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, a wide variety of practical activities took place in the province to help needy people experience a safe and warm Tet holiday.
