Arts programme celebrates President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday

A special arts performance will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on May 17 to mark the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

The event will also be broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel.

With the participation of popular singers nationwide, it aims to spotlight the late President’s life and career and his substantial contributions to the country’s revolution.

The competition aims to create a playground for autistic children and other children with birth defects in Vietnam.

The competition will be a place for kids to experience and tell their story through artistic language. And more than that, it is also an opportunity for the public to step into children’s pure world, to be able to better understand, care and share more with them.

Participants: Vietnamese children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or children with other birth defects, aged 3 to under 16 years (according to birth certificate).

Time to get submissions: From 01 May 2020 to the end of 30 June 2020

Film week celebrates President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday

Film week celebrates the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday will take place from May 19 to 26.

The film week is being held jointly by the Cinematography Department in coordination with film studios, film distributors, departments of culture, sports and tourism and cultural and arts centres in centrally-run cities and provinces nationwide.

EXHIBITION

Virtual reality exhibition on national reunification

A virtual reality exhibition entitled “National Reunification” is held by the State Records and Archives Department of Vietnam under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

On display are more than 200 documents, objects and photos on three main topics including Paris Agreement on Vietnam, Historical process and Reunified nation.

Nearly 450 pages of text, maps, images and documents are being presented to the public in the form of real displays and virtual reality, featuring the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) campaign, Hue-Da Nang campaign, Ho Chi Minh campaign, confidential telegrams of General Vo Nguyen Giap, and others.
