The exhibition presents 27 artworks from 22 Vietnamese and foreign artists. However, this selection is still modest in the context of Vietnamese contemporary art, which has been developing strongly in recent years.
The artworks have been made in different times and spaces, with various perspectives and stories, providing a panoramic view of landscape painting, a long history in Western and Eastern art.

Artist Ha Thuy Hang was born in the North-West mountainous area, where it has over 100ha of natural land with over 60% of the land being 700m above sea level. As a Thai ethnic woman, she feels strongly about moving to the urban area, where she struggles to fit in with the pace, the intensity and the sounds of the buzzling city.
“Flying-Mania” presents Ha Thuy Hang’s vision of a hypothetical universe in the future. The work consists of visual and music elements with sounds installation.

‘Thuy Nguyen - An Everyday Dream”

Known and recognised for her multidisciplinary creative practice, entrepreneurship and distinct aesthetic, Thuy Nguyen is one of Vietnam’s most celebrated designers and a leader in Vietnam’s emerging and rapidly growing fashion industry.
This exhibition, curated by Dolla S. Merrillees, is the first to explore her career and practice of more than a decade, revealing the background, creative processes, cultural influences and inspiration that have contributed to the making of a successful and acclaimed fashion design house.

Virtual Countdown Lights 2021
Ho Chi Minh City's annual countdown music party to welcome the New Year will be held virtually on Dec. 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will include top singers and bands from the Vietnamese music scene, including Thanh Bui, Min, Uni5, and Hoang Thuy Linh, as well as talented Vietnamese rappers Binz, Tlinh and MCK.
The artists will perform on a virtual 3D stage before a background of Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, created by Extended Reality (XR) technologies.
The event will begin livestreaming on 9:30 pm on the Facebook page and YouTube channel of Billboard Vietnam, and streaming platforms FPT Play and POPs.
It will also be broadcast on HCM City Television’s channel HTV3 from 10pm.
