Titled ’30 is yet the End’, the event is an attempt to spread a creative spirit in the community, through artwork with humorous, optimistic views on this turbulent year. It also represents a wish for the growth of the creative industry in Vietnam following the pandemic.

The exhibition features exclusive artworks from artists and designers, conveying their perspectives and emotions on a turbulent year. Visitors will not only experience the artworks visually, but also through new and exciting media. Participating artists include Xuan Phan, Trang Dinh and studios like Fustic., Veene Studio, Weirdo Potato, Rin Store, We Do Good and Clay Projects.

Fine Art Exhibition: Engraving Paintings

The 2021 Ceramics Collection and the Story of Contemporary Ceramics are the convergence of artistic and charming qualities, the improvisation and ingenuity of the painters and the sculptors, featuring artworks and everyday products.

The 12th Japanese Film Festival in Vietnam

The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam proudly presents the 12th Japanese Film Festival in Vietnam, introducing 4 new Japanese movies across different genres such as comedy, sci-fi, family and horror.

As you may know, the Festival was initially planned to be held in Ho Chi Minh City in the middle of December 2020, but due to COVID-19 , it was indefinitely postponed. Thanks to the joint efforts of the local City Government and people in controlling the pandemic, we are now able to bring it to you. The 12th JFF’s movie list has fewer movies than previous years but is promised not to disappoint audiences.

Ticket sales start from 16 Jan at Cinestar Hai Ba Trung.

Exhibition of traditional Japanese dolls

The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam is hosting the first-ever exhibition of “Traditional Japanese Dolls” at the Ho Chi Minh City Fines Art Museum.

This exhibition features 32 traditional dolls depicting the grace of Japanese ladies in kimono, popular characters in Japanese Noh and Kabuki plays, babies, children, teenagers royal dolls and clay dolls.

Known and recognised for her multidisciplinary creative practice, entrepreneurship and distinct aesthetic, Thuy Nguyen is one of Vietnam’s most celebrated designers and a leader in Vietnam’s emerging and rapidly growing fashion industry.

This exhibition, curated by Dolla S. Merrillees, is the first to explore her career of more than a decade, revealing the background, creative processes, cultural influences and inspiration that have contributed to the making of such a successful and acclaimed fashion design house.
