The RETRO exhibition will present paintings and objects in line with the modern intellectual cultural world in Vietnam, mostly from the beginning to the middle of the 20th century.

Exhibition ‘Home: Looking inwards to the outer world’

‘Home: Looking inwards to the outer world’ features a selection of artworks arising from an initiative begun in March 2020 by The Factory, at the onset of COVID-19.

‘Home: Looking inwards to the outer world’ includes drawing, painting, videos, poetry, and installations; accompanied by audio from artists who share private monologues on their ideas, and video documentation of private musical performances held during the first year of the pandemic.

Vin Gallery is pleased to announce “La mémoire dans la peau” (Memory in the Skin) by French artist, Frederic Dialynas Sanchez. Frederic’s (b. 1983) latest project is both a personal journey exploring his Vietnamese heritage, and a reappropriation of post-war memories and their contemporary afterlife. The journey of searching and creating this body of work is a metaphor for how people are still finding new ways to (re)constitute their realities, even decades after war.

“The Resonance of remembrance” exhibition has been organised on the occasion of the whole country celebrating its biggest holiday, National Reunification – April 30.

The exhibition consists of 5 works, including 4 lacquer works and 1 oil painting for the purpose of conveying to the public the message of the spiritual, historical and artistic value of the wars which were necessary to preserve the country’s peace.
