Hanoi, Fukuoka promote agricultural cooperation

The People’s Committee of Hanoi and Fukuoka prefecture of Japan jointly held a conference promoting their agriculture cooperation in Hanoi on June 28.

The conference is one of the activities to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan and the ten year friendship between Hanoi city and Fukuoka prefecture.

The seminar aims to introduce Fukuoka's agricultural development policies and experiences to businesses, agricultural products and foodstuffs of Hanoi, as well as support agricultural enterprises in learning from the expertise in agricultural production of Japanese and Vietnamese specialists, thereby promoting agricultural development.

The workshop also provided opportunities for agribusiness companies to explore the potential and opportunities for cooperation, thereby enhancing the understanding and friendly cooperation between the two cities in particular and between Vietnam and Japan in general.

Over the past year, Fukuoka and Hanoi have signed many memorandums of understanding, for cooperation in the fields of environment, education and cultural exchange.
