Former President Truong Tan Sang as well as Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen joined the event, which was held to mark the 77th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2, 1945-2022)

At the Nga Ba Giong national historical site, the delegates observed one-minute silence to pay gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh and late leaders of Party and State, who devoted their lives to the struggle for national independence and freedom.

During the resistance war against the US, Nga Ba Giong witnessed the glorious feats of the military and locals in Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune.

Earlier the same day, the delegation paid homage to fallen soldiers at the Gieng Nuoc Hospital relic site.
