The Vietnam women’s football team have wrapped up their 2019 SEA Games campaign in style after grabbing a nail-biting 1-0 victory against arch-rivals Thailand in the title match on December 8 to successfully defend their gold medal at the region's largest sporting event.

Mai Duc Chung’s side were convincing in their overall triumph maintaining an unbeaten run and conceding just one goal throughout their four matches.

This is the sixth time in history, and the second time in a row, that Vietnam have clinched the gold medal for women's football at the SEA Games.
