During his visit to Vietnam, Speaker Taufiq Kiemas held talk with NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong and met Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
At the events, the two sides acknowledged positive developments in the traditional ties and comprehensive co-operation between Vietnam and Indonesia.
They affirmed their determination to continue strengthening the fine co-operative relations between the two nations and parliaments as well as boosting ties in economy, commerce, investment and two nations' implementation of co-operation documents and agreements.
They also agreed to closely co-ordinate in ASEAN framework for peace, stability, co-operation and development in the region and the world.
In Hanoi, MDR Speaker Taufiq Kiemas visited the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, the Vietnam Military History Museum and Van Mieu (the Temple of Literature).
