Nhan Dan Newspaper joins 2024 L’Humanité Festival

Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper delegation, led by Deputy Editor-in-chief Phan Van Hung, participated in activities and organised a pavilion at the annual Fête de l'Humanité, an annual festival of the French newspaper L’Humanité, in Plessis-Pâté, Essonne Province, from September 13-15.

Vietnam’s pavilion introduced French and international friends to valuable images and documents about President Ho Chi Minh, the Dien Bien Phu Victory, and notable achievements across various fields in Vietnam.

In his speech at the inauguration of Vietnam’s pavilion, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Phan Van Hung highlighted that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam have always deeply appreciated the profound feelings and wholehearted support of French communists, French friends, and the international community.

He stressed the significance of the annual L’Humanité Press Festival as an opportunity to affirm the enduring solidarity and ties between Vietnamese communists and people and their French counterparts, while also contributing to strengthening international friendship and solidarity for peace.

Vincent Boulet, Head of the International Relations Department of the French Communist Party, praised Nhan Dan Newspaper’s participation and diverse activities duringthe festival. He mentioned that events like the festival continue to enhance the solidarity and connection between the two parties and contribute to the overall development of relations between Vietnam and France.

Upon learning about the severe damage caused by Typhoon Yagi in northern provinces and cities of Vietnam, the official of the French Communist Party and international friends attending the festival sent their deepest condolences. They expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Party and Government of Vietnam, the affected communities will soon restore normal life and production.

The 2024 L’Humanité Press Festival took place over three days from September 13 to 15, featuring numerous rallies, seminars, forums, and exchanges on cultural issues and current affairs in France, Europe, and globally, including climate change, economic crises, inflation, and security.
