The streets in Hanoi have more and more deserted compared to previous days as the municipal People's Committee decided to implement the social distancing under Government Directive 16 from 6am on July 24.

In Hanoi's old quarter, almost all stores are closed except for a few supermarkets such as Circle K, Vinmart, and BRG.

The area around Hoan Kiem Lake no longer has any people going to exercise in the morning.

Most of the shops on the streets of Hang Dao, Hang Ngang, and Hang Duong are strictly following the Directive and halting operation.

Street vendors are still active around the old quarter.

Similar to the central area, main roads such as: Kim Ma - Nguyen Thai Hoc, Giang Vo - Cat Linh, Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Luong Bang, Thai Ha, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Huynh Thuc Khang, and Nguyen Van Cu are seeing very few people and vehicles.

However, a residential market is still crowded with buyers this morning.

The social distancing order was issued late at night, so early on the morning of July 24, many markets were crowded with people coming to buy food.
