In Dong Da District, the vaccination programme is being held from August 2 to 5, with the target of administering 25,680 shots.

According to Chairwoman of Van Mieu ward People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Van Anh, the local authorities have taken measures to ensure people’s safety and follow COVID-19 prevention and control regulations at the vaccination sites.

During this vaccination session, Dong Da District’s residents received AstraZeneca shots.

Separate entry and exit points were set up at the vaccination site to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The gymnasium is one of ten vaccination sites organised under the model of a field hospital in the capital city.

Cu Thi Yen, a staff member at Hanoi Railway Company, got her first shot of COVID-19 vaccine on August 3. Yen hailed the vaccination programme for being well-organised to ensure safe distance between people and prevent the spread of the pandemic.

After getting the shot, people must wait for around an hour so that medical workers can monitor for side effects, if any.
