Hanoi prepares for Christmas

Only about 10 days left until Christmas. The roads, churches, commercial centres and urban areas in Hanoi are looking more and more sparkling with decorative lights, creating a warm atmosphere to welcome a peaceful Christmas season.

For many years, the Hanoi Cathedral at Nha Chung Street, Hoan Kiem District, is not only a place where religious activities of parishioners in Hanoi as well as the surrounding areas take place, but also attracts many people and tourists during the Christmas season. Since the beginning of December, a large Christmas tree and the nativity scene, recreating the birth of Jesus Christ, is installed in front of the Hanoi Cathedral.
