Hanoi’s Old Quarter full of colour amid Mid-autumn Festival

During recent weekends, the traditional Mid-autumn market stalls in Hanoi Old Quarter streets such as Hang Ma and Hang Luoc are crowded with people and visitors.

In the evening of September 27, Hang Ma Street was bustling in the cool weather.

Children are taken to the traditional Mid-autumn market to admire and purchase toys.

In recent years, traditional Mid-autumn have become more popular.

The traditional toys, such as paper masks, drums and star lanterns, are displayed along the streets.

The Phung Hung mural street welcomes Mid-autumn Festival with colourful and eye-catching lanterns.

As many as 300 cloth lanterns, which are decorated with traditional patterns such as flowers, leaves, drums and carps, are hung high in the middle of the street, creating a sparkling space.

A mid-autumn tray is recreated at the Heritage House at 87 Ma May Street.

The Hanoi Old Quarter coordinated with artisans and craftsmen to introduce the way to make traditional toys such as star lanterns the paper models of doctors.
