Pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem lake bustle with youth dance festival

A youth dance festival themed ‘Dances of Colours’ was staged at the pedestrian street area around Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi on October 10 by the city’s Youth Union in collaboration with the city’s Department of Culture and Sports.

The event was part of activities celebrating the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi and the 66th Liberation Day of the capital city.

The festival attracted a large number of young people and schoolchildren in the city.

The event provided an entertainment venue for youth in the city.

It aimed to strengthen the solidarity and connection between the city’s Youth Union and its members while increasing the quality of activities hosted by the union.

Performances at the event drew much interest and applauses from the audiences.

The performances featured various themes based on historical events, youth’s movements, environmental protection, domestic violence, and the fight against COVID-19.

Students of the Yen So Secondary School in Hoai Duc district brought to the stage a performance in remembrance of fallen soldiers.

Many teams showed their considerable investment in their performances, from the costumes to the music and performance skills.

The performers generated much excitement in the air around Hoan Kiem lake.
