The Vietnamese PM was welcomed at the airport by Deborah Russel, a member of the New Zealand parliament; New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam Wendy Matthews; leaders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of New Zealand; Vietnamese Ambassador to New Zealand Nguyen Viet Dung; and officials of the Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand.
During his stay in New Zealand, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc will hold talks with his New Zealand counterpart, Jacinda Andern, and witness the signing of important cooperation documents between the two sides. The Government leader will also have a bilateral meeting with Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives, Travor Mallard.
PM Phuc is scheduled to meet with Mayor of Auckland Phil Goff and the Vietnamese community in New Zealand this afternoon.
During the trip, the Vietnamese leader will attend the Vietnam-New Zealand Business Forum, in addition to hosting a reception for the leaders of a number of New Zealand’s leading companies.
