The virtual event was organised jointly by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), the Party Central Committee's Theoretical Council, the Communist Review and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.
In his opening speech, Politburo member, President of the Party Central Committee's Theoretical Council and HCMA Director Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed that the document of the 13th National Party Congress is the crystallisation of the wisdom and creativity of the entire Party, people and army, demonstrating the strategic vision of the country's development in the new period.
The system of documents outlines many new comprehensive and outstanding points in many aspects, he said, suggesting participants in the symposium properly assess the current situation and the country's position in the development trend of the world and the region, discussing and affirming the correctness and feasibility of the aspiration, vision and development goals of the country laid out by the 13th National Party Congress.
58 speeches sent to the symposium focused on researching, discussing, and proposing solutions to improve the quality of the dissemination, study and effective implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress to create consensus and promote the positivity of the people in successfully realising the goals of the 13th Party Congress.
In addition, delegates also discussed and proposed solutions to implement major undertakings in the spirit of the Document of the 13th National Congress in various fields of social life, with a focus on building Vietnam on a sociaist path on the basis of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; arouseingthe aspiration to develop the country, bringing into play the will, cultural strength, and spirit of solidarity of the whole nation; build and perfect development institutions, renew growth and innovation models, and a synchronous and modern infrastructure system in both economic and social terms, as well as mobilise resources for national development.
