Congratulations extended to Nhan Dan Newspaper on Revolutionary Press Day

On June 17, Party and State leaders and representatives from numerous agencies visited and congratulated Nhan Dan (People’s) Newspaper on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2021).

A delegation of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies' Bloc, led by its Secretary and member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) Huynh Tan Viet, extended greetings to Nhan Dan Newspaper’s leaders and staff on the occasion.

He also highly valued the proactive coordination between Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Party Committee of the Central Agencies' Bloc in promptly, deeply and widely propagating the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies.

Secretary Viet added that the Party Committee of the Central Agencies' Bloc would continue to enhance the cooperation between the two agencies.

* Also, in the morning, member of the PCC and Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung congratulated Nhan Dan Newspaper on the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

At the meeting, Minister Hung appreciated the achievements that the newspaper has gained in recent years.

He stated that the Ministry of Information and Communications would closely follow and support Nhan Dan Newspaper in developing an effective digital transformation strategy towards innovations and diverse forms of propaganda.

* On the occasion, member of the PCC and Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee Pham Xuan Thang extended his warm greetings to Nhan Dan Newspaper while highlighting the role of the press in general and the Party newspaper in particular in the new era.

He noted that the newspaper’s propaganda of lychee exports has contributed to improving Hai Duong’s lychee brand, thus helping to stabilise local farmers’ lives.

* On behalf of Nhan Dan Newspaper staff, member of the PCC and Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper expressed his sincere thanks to the agencies, ministries and localities for their concerns and sentiments.

At the receptions, he cited some remarkable results of Nhan Dan Newspaper in recent years such as the copies of daily newspaper circulation reaching 100,000 and Nhan Dan Online drawing around one million views per day.

Notably, the newspaper’s index of interaction on the social network Facebook has grown very strongly over the past month, with over 50,000 readers showing interest in Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Fanpage, with the number of interactions increasing to hundreds and even thousands, and the reach expanding to more than 770,000 people, added Minh.

The Editor-in-chief vowed to continue to innovate Nhan Dan Newspaper and develop diverse forms of propaganda that are closer and more suitable to all classes of readers, towards better serving for propaganda work and upholding its role as the Party's mouthpiece.

* Also on June 17, representatives of Nhan Dan Newspaper received congratulations from many delegations from Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; the Office of Ministry of Public Security; Border Guard High Command under the Ministry of Defence; Youth Union of Central Agencies Bloc; the General Staff of the Vietnamese People's Army; the Propaganda Department under the Political Bureau of the Vietnamese People's Navy (Defense Ministry); Press Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; and Hanoi Sewerage and Drainage One Limited Company.
