Conference popularises 13th National Party Congress’s Resolution among artists and intellectuals

The Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education held an online national conference on July 21 to introduce the Resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress to leaders and officials of literature, arts, science and technology associations as well as artists and intellectuals.

The online conference, connecting 40 locations, attracted more than 2,000 delegates.

In his opening speech, Deputy Head of the Communications and Education Commission, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Xuan Nha stressed that the event provided an opportunity to popularise the Party’s Resolution among artists and intellectuals nationwide, thus creating consensus and determination among the participants to promote cultural activities.

He said studying and implementing the resolution will be a major political task in 2021, urging officials and Party members in the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, and the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations to grasp the views, main contents and new guidelines in the document.

Delegates at the event were briefed on the key contents and new perceptions in the documents of the 13th National Party Congress, the Party’s guideline and viewpoints on culture and the arts, as well as the science and technology development and innovation promotion.

The topics were presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thong - Secretary General of the Central Theoretical Council, and Dr. Le Xuan Dinh - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
