NA Chairman urges more efforts and proactiveness in the fight against COVID-19

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue had a session on August 30 with the Working Group of the National Assembly Standing Committee to implement Resolution No.30/2021/QH15 related to COVID-19 prevention and control.

The working session was also attended by Permanent NA Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man and leaders of NA committees.

Pursuant to the Law on NA Organisation and Resolution No.30/2021/QH15, the Working Group of the NA Standing Committee to implement Resolution No.30 was established on August 27, 2021. The Working Group is headed by NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh and the other six members are the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Committees of the NA and the NA Office.

Speaking at the session, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasised that Resolution No.30 was adopted at the first session of the 15th NA. It mentions specific and special measures, creating a legal basis and increase the proactiveness for the Government, the Prime Minister and localities in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, promptly responding to practical requirements and receiving high appreciation from all levels, sectors, and voters nationwide.

The top legislator also urged more efforts in promoting the “proactive, innovative, creative, enthusiastic and united” spirit of the NA, the NA Standing Committee and the Government in the fight against COVID-19, with a focus on solutions to mobilise forces and supplement resources for epidemic prevention and control, health care, protection for the people, using effectively resources for social security, ensuring political security, social order and safety.

NA Chairman Hue also underscored that the highest goal is to meet the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, protecting people’s lives and health, as well as ensuring social security, social order and safety, and supporting workers, employers and people to overcome difficulties and recover production.
