According to the Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, the draft Land Use Planning has basically met two major goals: the orientation of space allocation and the target of using large groups of land such as agricultural land, forest land, non-agricultural land, etc., thereby creating a land fund for socio-economic development and ensuring national defence and security; while at the same time, closely following the Party's guidelines and the National Assembly's resolutions on major strategic orientations in the land sector.

More attention should be paid to the planning of land in the development of coastal areas, the Deputy PM noted, adding that in fact, the coastal area has become the driving force for the development of many localities over the past time, and the planning and investment in the construction of coastal roads has created great potential for development.

Deputy PM Thanh asked the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to urgently absorb comments and focus on completing the draft planning to submit to the competent authorities according to regulations.
