The event was held in both in-person and online forms, connecting 38 communes, wards and towns in the two districts.

At the meeting, voters in the two districts highly lauded the prompt, drastic and effective guidance of the Party and the city’s authorities in the prevention and control of the COVID-19, which has helped the capital city basically control the pandemic and support businesses’ recovery.

They proposed the city’s authorities speed up the vaccination drive and work out plans to re-open schools so that students are allowed to return to school soon. They also asked for the completion of the planning on the Red River urban subdivision, the planning of the Bat Trang touristy commune, and the project on upgrading Tam Trinh Street.

Speaking at the meeting, Hanoi’s Party leader Dinh Tien Dung briefed the voters on the city's situation since the beginning of 2021, stressing that the city’s authorities have adjusted their pandemic response strategy following the direction of safely, flexibly adapting to and effectively controlling COVID-19 for socio-economic recovery and development.

He called on voters and people to continue to promote their sense of participation and raise a high sense of responsibility in the fight against the pandemic.

He pledged that the city’s authorities will take more practical actions to reduce the impact of the pandemic, promote socio-economic development, remove difficulties for enterprises, and create the most favorable conditions for production and business activities.

The city will also review public investment projects, simplify administrative procedures and improve the business investment environment to optimise development resources, he added.
