Hanoi High Command honoured with Fatherland Defence Order

The High Command of Hanoi was awarded the Fatherland Defence Order, first class, at a ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of its traditional day on October 16.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Defence Phan Van Giang asked the capital city’s armed forces to ensure that they fully understand the Party’s policies to enhance its advisory work on all-people defence and build Hanoi into a strong defence zone.

He also asked the High Command to step up ideological education for its soldiers and officers.

Over the past 75 years, the armed forces of Hanoi scored many resounding victories and have been honoured with various accolades, including the Hero of the People’s Armed Forces title, one Golden Star Order, 3 Ho Chi Minh Orders, 5 Military Feat Orders and 5 Fatherland Defence Orders.
