During two and a half days of the Q&A session, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, and Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung fielded questions about issues within their remit. Relevant Government members also gave more details about the matters of shared concern.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh further clarified common issues and directly replied to queries from legislators.

Concluding the Q&A session, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said the Q&A activities, the first of the 15th parliament, showed that the issues chosen for debate matched the reality and attracted the public’s attention.

They covered the fact, results, and lessons of the recent COVID-19 prevention and control, the overall anti-pandemic strategy for the time ahead; the issuance and implementation of relief packages for people and businesses, the general programme for economic recovery and development, fiscal and monetary stimulus packages, and measures for continuing to support people and businesses.

The NA welcomes the openness, seriousness, and high sense of responsibility by the Government, the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers, and heads of sectors in fielding questions, Hue noted, but there remain shortcomings and challenges that need strong resolve and breakthrough solutions to address in the time to come.

The Government, all-level authorities, and sectors should uniformly carry out solutions so as to make more improvements to the issues mentioned at the Q&A session, he added.
