Permanent Deputy PM presents gifts to families in Ba Ria - Vung Tau

Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh and leaders of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province presented gifts to families with outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements and in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the districts of Long Dien and Dat Do.

The Deputy PM expressed his sympathy for the difficulties facing the local people due to the pandemic, sharing his hope that the people will continue to unite to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, socio-economic development targets and patriotic emulation movements.

He presented gifts to seven families with outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the two districts.

The government official also sent his deep condolences and presented gifts to 25 families with relatives who have died because of the pandemic in Long Dien district.

Previously, the Deputy PM offered incense to Heroic Martyr Vo Thi Sau at her temple in Dat Do town, Dat Do district.

*On the same day, the Deputy PM held a meeting with local voters in Long Dien District, Dat Do district and Ba Ria city in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province in both virtual and in-person formats.

Vaccination and solutions to economic recovery were the top concerns of voters at the meeting.

The Deputy PM said that more than 190 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines are expected to arrive in Vietnam by the end of 2021, exceeding the target of 150 million doses set by the Government, contributing to accelerating the vaccination process in the entire country.
