Official meets voters in Lao Cai

Politburo member and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu and the National Assembly (NA) Delegation of the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai had a meeting with voters in Bao Thang district, Lao Cai Province on November 15.

At the meeting, the voters were briefed on the outcomes of the recently concluded second session of the 15th NA. Accordingly, the second session of the 15th NA took place in 16 days and was divided into two phases, including both online and face-to-face meetings.

At the session, the NA adopted 2 laws, 12 resolutions, and gave opinions on 5 other bills. The NA also heard and approved several important reports on the COVID-19 prevention and control; reports on the synthesis of voters' opinions and settlement as well as response to voters' opinions of relevant ministries, departments and agencies...

Voters in Bao Thang district expressed their agreement with the results of the country's socio-economic development in 2021; and showed their confidence in the leadership of the Party, the NA and the Government in directing the whole country to prevent and control the pandemic.

Voters also voiced their concerns on a number of pressing issues in the locality such as the environmental pollution of Tang Loong Industrial Park, people's living conditions and the welfare for people living in that area.

Politburo member Tu acknowledged the voters’ concerns and thanked them for expressing their viewpoints with frank and constructive comments on a wide range of issues.

Regarding issues under the authority of the Party Central Committee, together with the NA Delegation of Lao Cai province, Tu will summarise and submit to the competent authorities for consideration and settlement in the near future.
