Politburo member Mai appreciated the efforts made by the provincial authorities and people in recent years as well as hailed the province’s achievements in epidemic prevention and control.
She noted that Luy Ai Hamlet in Phong Phu Commune has preserved traditional cultural features of the ancient Muong ethnic minority village, which has been recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as one of the ancient villages ofVietnam.
The hamlet is home to over 200 households of Muong, Kinh, H’Mong, Thai and Dao ethnic groups, who have together gained achievements in following the movement of building new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas, contributing to their economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, she added.
Mai expressed her belief that, with the spirit of innovation and high determination, the Party committees and people of Hoa Binh Province will uphold their tradition and employ all resources and potential towards fulfilling the assigned tasks.
On the occasion, the Politburo member presented gifts to people in Luy Ai Hamlet, Phong Phu Commune.

* On the same day, Politburo member and Vice Chairman of National Assembly Tran Thanh Man attended the Great National Unity Festival in Residential Area No.6 in Ward 3 of Vi Thanh City, in the Mekong River Delta province of Hau Giang.
Speaking at the festival, the NA Vice Chairman hailed the achievements gained by the Party committee and people in Vi Thanh City in particular and Hau Giang Province in general.
He asked the local authorities and people to continue to make greater efforts to prevent the spread of the pandemic in association with socio-economic restoration in the new normal.
NA Vice Chairman Man also urged the investment in health sector, especially at grassroots level, to improve the capacity and conditions for medical examination and treatment.
