NA Chairman pays Tet visit to Binh Duong province

A delegation of the National Assembly, led by Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, paid a visit to the southern province of Binh Duong on January 23 ahead of Tet (Lunar New Year) Festival.

Speaking at the working session with the Standing Board of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, NA leader Hue highly valued the socio-economic achievements that Binh Duong gained in 2021 such as investment attraction, budget revenue, imports and exports, trade surplus, and care for employees, despite the impacts of COVID-19.

He also appreciated the efforts and contributions made by the provincial authorities and people to the development of southern key economic region and the country.

The NA leader asked the province to focus on future development strategies and the modernisation of the healthcare system, notably preventive medicine.

Earlier on the same day, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue visited and extended Tet greetings to former President Nguyen Minh Triet.

He also presented Tet gifts to trade union members and workers at Wanek Co., Ltd in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park 2.

The top legislator highly valued the adaptability and flexibility of the company to maintain production and stabilise jobs and income for workers amid the complicated development of COVID-19 pandemic.

He emphasised that the authorities, organisations and enterprises in Binh Duong province have enhanced the care for people and workers to welcome a warm Tet holiday.

He extended best wishes to the staff of Wanek Company and presented 50 gifts to workers living in difficult circumstances.

In the evening of yesterday, NA Chairman Hue and the delegation attended a programme to present Tet gifts to revolutionary contributors, poor people, students and workers in Binh Duong on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.

* Also yesterday, Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries, workers who are living in difficult circumstances in the Mekong River Delta province of Long An.

On the occasion, he also extended Tet gifts to officials, soldiers and health workers in the frontline forces against the pandemic.

* In the afternoon of January 23, Politburo member and NA Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man visited, extended greetings and granted Tet gifts to the border guards of Kien Giang province, poor families in Rach Gia city, workers in Thai Binh Kien Giang Joint Stock Company and former Secretaries and Chairmen of the provincial People’s Committee.

* Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Van Nen attended a programme to present Tet gifts to workers who are living in difficult circumstances in Dong Nai province.

* Meanwhile, Secretary of the PCC and Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai wished Binh Phuoc province’s leaders and people a happy and successful new year as well as gave gifts to local workers and poor people.
