NA Chairman conveys Tet wishes to NA deputies

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, has extended his best wishes, to the NA full-time deputies and all officials, civil servants and employees, at the NA Office, on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

The top legislator hosted a meeting with the delegates at the NA House in Hanoi, on January 27, ahead of Tet, which will officially start on January 31.

The unexpected and urgent situation, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, has posed challenges and new requirements for the Party, State and NA, requiring the NA to find new ways of working, and to make special decisions to meet practical requirements, he noted.

NA Chairman Hue also emphasised, that over the past time, the NA has completed a huge amount of work, successfully organised three sessions, ensuring the transition between the two NA terms, successfully holding the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils, at all levels for the 2021-2026 term, all during the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic.

On behalf of the NA Standing Committee and the NA leaders, the NA Chairman wished all NA specialised deputies and the NA Office’s staff, to enjoy a warm Tet with their loved ones.

Giving his sincere thanks to all members of the NA Standing Committee, the NA Office and NA deputies, the top legislator also expressed her wish, that everyone would make every effort possible to complete their political tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, in the new lunar year.

On this occasion, the NA Chairman awarded the Certificate of Merit to the People’s Deputies Newspaper, 11 collectives and 76 individuals, for their outstanding performance over the past year.
