The event was attended by Politburo member and Vice Chairman of National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man; former Politburo member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC) Pham The Duyet; Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communications and Education; and Secretary of the PCC and President of the VFFCC Do Van Chien.

Addressing the ceremony, NA Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that during the cause of renewal of the country, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper has successfully fulfilled its task of propagandising the Party's guidelines and the State’s policies on the great national unity bloc as well as the action programmes of the VFF.

He added that the newspaper has also played a very important role in mobilising the campaigns and emulation movements; properly reflecting and praising the good people with creative and effective deeds; and making great contributions to the fight against corruption and negativity and to political stability.

Politburo member Tran Thanh Man asked the newspaper to continue focusing on widely propagandising the thorough implementation of the Resolutions of the 13th Party Congress and the ninth National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

It is crucial to encourage and spread solidarity and mutual support among the community, especially in the pandemic prevention and control efforts and socio-economic development and recovery.

On the occasion, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in the implementation of the campaign “All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas”.
