PM attends art programme marking War Invalids and Fallen Soldiers’ Day

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on July 23 attended the memorial ceremony and lit candles in gratitude for heroes and fallen soldiers, at an art programme organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the People's Committee of the central province of Nghe An on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the War Invalids and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947-2022).

The art programme entitled "Immortal Epic" was held to pay tribute to heroes, fallen soldiers, wounded and sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution who sacrificed and devoted themselves to the cause of national liberation, and construction and defence.

At the ceremony, PM Pham Minh Chinh presented 20 social houses to policy families in Anh Son District, Nghe An Province. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented 75 gifts worth 750 million VND to policy beneficiary families throughout the province.

Earlier, on the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Party and Government officials paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at the Vietnam – Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery.
