The statement was made by member of Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung while working with leaders of Vinh Phuc province on September 5.
According to a report released by the Vinh Phuc provincial People’s Committee, local economic growth reached 7.4% in the first six months of this year. Despite numerous difficulties, the agricultural, forestry and fishery production has gradually developed. The province’s State budget was estimated at nearly VND14.1 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%.
Addressing the working session, Deputy PM Dung said that Vinh Phuc is located in the northern economic zone, next to the capital. He appreciated the achievements in socio-economic development that the province has gained over recent years.
Emphasising difficulties and challenges that Vinh Phuc still faces, the Deputy PM asked provincial authorities to review plans and projects for local industrial zones and complexes, tourist areas, urban areas, products and sectors.
In addition, the province should clearly define plans in need of urgent implementation and necessary resources as well as key priority projects for investment, added Deputy PM Dung.
The Deputy PM urged Vinh Phuc to promote investment projects to develop infrastructure in all fields, particularly transport, urban areas, industry, agriculture, services and tourism.
It is highly essential that Vinh Phuc takes full advantage of opportunities as well as forms appropriate policies to support enterprises and actively attract more investments, noted Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung.
